Understanding agriculture and food markets is vital in today’s world
Research into agricultural and food economy enhances our understanding of international and European food markets, as well as how they affect the Finnish economy and producers. Our researchers study the whole food chain beginning from the farms, through processing industry to the retail stores and consumers. The issues of food security and self-sufficiency are also of critical importance today.
Twice a year, we publish a short term forecast of the Finnish agricultural and food economy.
